Cessna Citation Excel (Citation XLS+) Review: A Legendary Classic

Hello, this is me again and today I am going to write a review about Cessna Citation Excel, or some says Citation XLS+. Cessna had created quite a product, first manufactured in February 1996, and up till now is still in production, quite amazing in my humble opinion. Very interesting right? Keep reading and find out how they have such a successful private airplane in the today-market.

Cessna Citation XLS Manufacturer

The creator and manufacturer of the Citation Excel is Cessna Aircraft Company, a Wichita, Kansas based company. They specialized in small aircraft, but sometimes they also produce business jets. Cessna is a subsidiary of Textron, a US aircraft and helicopters company.

The founder of this great company is Mr. Clyde Cessna, formerly is a farmer in Rago, Kansas. He and Mr. Victor Roos together built Cessna-Roos Aircraft Company in 1927, while in the same year Mr. Roos resigned from the company.

Until now, Cessna aircraft is the most used airplane and the most manufactured aircraft in the world, especially in the US.

The Cessna Citation Excel Overview

Cessna Citation Excel used two Pratt & Whitney PW545 engines to move the plane. With that engine, the Citation XLS can fly up to 1,961 miles, and only need a 3,590 feet lane to takeoff. The airplane can accommodate up to ten persons, and its cabin is very quiet thanks to the triple sealed entry door and triple pane windows. The XLS uses Honeywell Primus 1000 for the glass panel avionics.

Citation Excel can climb up to 41,000 feet directly and the speed is just a bit slower than the Learjet 45A. This aircraft is well known for its fuel-safe. And its baggage space is 90 cubic feet, when its 80 is external. The hefty brakes and big thrust reversers make its landing like in an invisible barrier.
Rest assure for this Cessna, even though it is a 1996 design, but the safety record is quite sensational.

Up till now there are only 6 accidents involving the Cessna Citation Excel, with the Brazilian presidential candidate Eduardo Campos on August 2014 in Sao Paulo. I think it is still a nearly excellent record.

A new Cessna Citation Excel has a price for $12.5 million, while the used one will cost you around $7 million, depending on some factors, like the year production, the mileage, and the modification it has.

Conclusion of Citation XLS Review

The Cessna Citation Excel is a good start when it comes for you to own your personal private aircraft. This solid mid-sized aircraft is best known for its reliability, performance, robust, and the fuel-safe engine take you everywhere is a light jet budget.

BlackJet Review: Not an UBER Service

Hello, DO NOT use the service of BlackJet before you completely read my review of BlackJet company. Please read until the end of this article before you decide your choice.

BlackJet Company Profile

BlackJet is founded by the founder of Uber Taxi, thus they have similarity in company service. The difference is the first one is a service in the air while the last one is on the land. BlackJet does not own any of the aircrafts, they just have many contracts with many private jets operators. They claim that the customers can book any private flight in seconds using their BlackJet app. And their membership is limited too, it means you need an invitation from someone who has become a member.

Service of BlackJet

In the reality, there are many complaints regarding BlackJet’s service. You can browse them through the internet. One complaints about the membership $2,500 annual fee. From the day they pay, it needs more than three weeks to get the confirmation.

The other have complained that their booking seats are cancelled in LESS THAN 24 hours, and that makes them very very upset. The customer service of BlackJet says that if they book more than one day, they will get a guaranteed seat, but what they receive is the opposite.

It seems the air service is not as smooth as the land one. There are many factors that can change the flight schedule. The positive side of Blackjet is when you ask for a refund, they will surely refund your membership fee.

I recommend you to look at my other private jet brokerage and charter companies here http://glprivatejets.blogspot.com/

Flight Options Reviews: A Big Return of Its Founder

If it is the Flight Options LLC review you are looking for right now, then you have come to the right place. I have simultaneously searching and collecting any information regarding this Cleveland, Ohio-based Fractional Private Jet Ownership and Charter company, Flight Options LLC. I believe that all you need to know about it has already been covered here. Let’s get start!

Flight Options History

Flight Options was founded in 1998 by Kenneth Ricci, and was enjoying a phenomenon success by growing their revenue almost ten times in just 17 months. Then Flight Options did a joint venture with Raytheon Travel Air, a subsidiary of Raytheon Company in 2001. In 2003, Mr. Ricci left the company, but he returned home as a Chairman in 2008 by buying some stakes of Flight Options.

Just like most companies in 2008, Flight Options could not evade from the monetary crisis in that year, but Mr. Ricci’s return time is the right time. He bought Phenom 300 from Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. Using that light jets, Flight Options was available to reduce their flight cost and rebounding from the recession.

And he made it! This Ohio private jet charter company is now one of the most famous jet company in the U.S. Using the three programs for their customers, Flight Options survived!

Three Flight Options' Main Programs

The first program is called Fractional Ownership. This is the most popular program in the company. This Ownership system allows customers to enjoy lower hourly flight rates available by buying 1/16th stake of their chosen airplane in five years. In return, they are given 50 hours of flight hours per year. After the contract has ended, Flight options will buy back your share of stakes in the current market price. This program is suitable for a person who flies often, more than 50 hours per year each and every year. This ownership program also allows the owner to take the tax advantage.

The second program is Lease. If you choose this program, you will be asked to pay a refundable deposit. After that, for the next three years, you have an exclusive access to their Nextant 400XT, Citation X or Legacy 600 airplanes. Lease is an alternative of the Fractional Ownership, allowing you to have a piece of it without the upfront capital cost. But it has monthly management fee and monthly lease fee.

The last one is JetPASS. JetPASS card is called the entry into private jet ownership. JetPASS allows you to fly up to 25 hours per card, no expiration day! You make a call 10 hours before you fly to book your aircraft, and happy flying. That easy! No upfront capital cost, no monthly fee, and no lease fee.

Conclusion

My conclusion is Flight Options is quietly good if you want to start flying using private jet. What I like about them is their price transparency. You can read all of their prices for all of three programs in their website, unlike their rivals, so you can directly see it like the pictures I post above.

In the end, it is up to you to decide if you are going to use them or their rivals. Read more of my reviews about other private jet charter companies, and happy private jet-ting!
